Lost Cruise

Lost Cruise

I feel as time stands still Drifting away in a dream Past the trouble, past the drama The soon awaits me to fulfill Silence cuts as sharp as a blade. Soft winds strike as hard as a train. The nothing seeps deep into my brain My heart aches, but is left unchained For my mind doubts the truth of my sight. Can’t believe what was stripped and shown. I look at the waves, they mirror my face. My shadow follows with desperate haste. For the future remains, it’s left unfazed. My past blurs behind me, it’s left in a haze. I reach for the light, yet shadow remains, Revealing myself, the truth that I chase.
